Zikya is thirteen years old and studies in grade 5. She lives in a family of six with her two brothers and two sisters. Life at home is simple but full of responsibility. Both her parents work as cleaners and leave early in the morning to earn whatever they can. Even with both of them working, it is difficult for the family to meet their monthly needs. Every day brings new challenges, yet they keep going with patience and hope. Zikya used to go to another school, but her parents could no longer afford the fee. It became too difficult to manage books, uniforms, and monthly expenses.

Eventually, they had no choice but to withdraw her. One day they heard about Minor Care and learned that everything was free, from education to the academy support. They visited the school and felt relieved. She was enrolled immediately, and it became a turning point in her life. After school each day, Zikya goes with her mother to help her with her cleaning work. She does small tasks that make her mother’s day easier. When they finish, they return home, and she gets ready to go to the academy.

At the academy she studies, revises, and learns new things. When she comes back home in the evening, she helps around the house, taking care of chores and supporting her siblings. Her elder brother also studies but works in a factory with their father to help cover expenses. Zikya has a few favourite things that bring her joy. Her favourite color is red. She loves eating aloo gobi and enjoys it whenever it is cooked at home. Her favourite bird is the eagle because she admires its strength and courage.

Despite the struggles around her, Zikya remains determined and focused. Her biggest dream is to fulfill her father’s wish for her to become a doctor. She wants to study hard, help people, and give her family a better life. She believes that through effort and dedication, she can achieve her dreams and make her parents proud.
