A Glimpse Into Their World

Background
Maryam is in grade four and the third child in her family. She has two brothers and two sisters. Her father works in a factory stitching clothes, spending long hours at the machine to support the household. Her mother stays at home, managing the family and the daily chores.

Maryam helps her mother as much as she can. She also helps her sisters and brothers with small tasks around the house. She understands that everyone at home works hard, and she wants to do her part too. Even though she is young, she tries her best to make things easier for her mother.

After finishing her chores, Maryam enjoys playing. Her favorite game is teacher-teacher. She stands with a notebook in her hand and pretends to teach an imaginary class. She loves explaining things and acting like a real teacher. This game is special to her because she dreams of becoming a teacher when she grows up.

Maryam watches her father return home tired from the factory and feels motivated to study. She believes that education will help her build a better future for herself and her family. She likes learning new things at school and often imagines herself teaching students one day, just like her teachers at MinorCare.
