A Glimpse Into Their World
Background
Samuel is in grade 5 and lives in a large family of seven members. He has two sisters and three brothers including himself. His father works as a laborer and leaves early each morning to earn whatever he can. His mother stays at home and takes care of the household and the younger siblings. Even with all the effort his father puts in, it is still difficult for the family to manage their daily expenses. Every month is a struggle as the salary is not enough to cover all their needs..
Before joining Minor Care, Samuel studied at Prime School. He enjoyed going there but had to leave because the fee became too high. His family tried to manage it for a while, but eventually it became impossible. When they found out about Minor Care, they visited and were relieved to learn that everything was free. This gave them hope and made it possible for all the children to continue their studies. Now all his siblings study at Minor Care and feel grateful for the opportunity..
Samuel follows a strict routine every day. After school, he goes home, takes a shower, and has his lunch. Then he returns to Minor Care academy to study and revise. The academy helps him understand his lessons better and keeps him focused on his goals. When he finishes academy, he goes back home, eats his dinner, and then goes to work with his father. Even though he is young, he helps his father whenever he can because he knows how much his family depends on small earnings. Samuel has simple joys. His favourite food is curry rice, and he never gets tired of eating it. He loves parrots and enjoys watching them whenever he sees one. His favourite animal is the cow because he finds it calm and gentle.
Even though life is full of challenges, Samuel stays strong and hopeful. He dreams of becoming a police officer when he grows up. He wants to protect his country and provide for his family so they can live a better and more comfortable life. He studies with dedication because he believes that education is the path toward the future he wants to build.
