Background
Naira is the youngest child in a family of five siblings, and her home is always full of activity, voices, and the warmth of togetherness. Her father works at the brick kilns, spending long hours under the sun to support his family, while her mother works as a cleaner. Their days are difficult, but they are full of love and hope for their children’s education and future. Among all the siblings, Naira is the little one everyone adores, protects, and looks after.
Her eldest brother goes to work with their father to help earn a little more for the household. Even though life is tough, her parents are determined that the younger children, including Naira, must go to school so they can build a better life. Naira has just started her learning journey in playgroup and already loves her school environment. She enjoys singing poems, learning new words, and showing her teachers how carefully she listens.
Her favorite color is blue, and she loves pointing at anything blue around her with excitement. She loves eating meat, especially when her mother prepares it in her favorite style. At home, she spends time playing Ludo, giggling whenever she wins, and challenging her siblings with great enthusiasm.
Naira’s happiest moments are when she gets to visit the park. She loves the swings and small rides, and the joy on her face during those moments makes all the difficulties at home fade away for a while. She often talks about the colorful rides and how high the swing makes her feel like she is flying.
In her heart, Naira holds a simple but beautiful dream. She wants to become a teacher one day. She loves the idea of standing in front of a classroom, teaching children, and helping them learn the way her teachers help her. With support from Minorcare, which continues helping underprivileged children access education, Naira now has a path that can lead her toward the future she imagines with hope and excitement.
