Irum is ten years old and studies in grade 5. She lives in a family of seven with two brothers and three sisters, including herself. Out of all the siblings, three go to school while the others stay home to help with household work. Her father works as a rickshaw driver for someone else, often leaving early in the morning and returning late in the evening. Her mother works in a factory along with Irum’s elder brother and sister. Life is not easy for the family, and every member contributes in some way to support the household. Even though the work is hard, Irum tries to do her part and help her family whenever she can.

After school, Irum follows a disciplined routine. She goes home, changes her clothes, and begins her household work. She cleans, arranges things, and helps her younger siblings before her mother returns from the factory. When her mother comes back, she prepares food for the family, and then they all eat together before going to sleep. Irum understands the importance of responsibility and always tries to make the home a little easier for her parents. Irum has a few simple joys that bring her happiness. Her favourite color is orange, and she loves eating aloo gobi, especially when it is freshly cooked.

She enjoys going to the park, taking swings, and playing outdoors whenever she gets a chance. Her favourite game is ludo, which she enjoys playing with her siblings in the evenings. She loves cats and admires their gentle and playful nature.

Despite the difficulties she faces, Irum remains focused on her dreams. She wants to fulfill her mother’s wish for her to become a hafiza, someone who memorizes the Quran, and her father’s dream of seeing her become a doctor. She studies hard every day while managing her household responsibilities. Irum hopes to make her parents proud, serve her community, and create a brighter future for herself and her family. She believes that with dedication, discipline, and hard work, she can achieve everything she dreams of.
